On Tuesday, 29th July 2025, a special discussion event on criminology and forensic science courses was conducted at the Arani campus of Dr. MGR University for school and college students.
The event featured Dr. Z Anni Vijaya, IPS, DIG of Police Training, Tamil Nadu, as the chief guest. She explained in detail to the students the significance of criminology and forensic science courses and the career opportunities available in these fields.
Additionally, the event saw participation from Dr. Thilakaraj, former Head of the Criminology Department at the University of Chennai, Dr. S. Latha, Director of the Cyber Forensics and Information Security Center at the University of Chennai, and Dr. V. Cyril Raj, Professor in the Cyber Forensics Department at Dr. MGR University, Chennai. They all addressed the students, explaining the key features of criminology and forensic science courses and career opportunities in the field.
Earlier, Dr. B. Stalin, Dean of the Dr. MGR University, Arani campus welcomed the gathering . The university’s Joint Registrars Dr. Peruvazhuthi and Dr. Saravanan, honored the distinguished guests. The event was attended by Principals from the Arani ACS group of Institutions. school and college students, as well as faculty and staff members of Dr. MGR University.Arni Campus.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sudhakar, Vice Principal of the Department of Physiotherapy.
